What is an Internal Linking Score?
Internal Linking Score (ILS) is an overall rating of the page’s internal linking. It is represented by 1 of three icons.

The internal linking score is made up of 3 key areas;
Internal links
The icon above means two internal posts/pages link to the current URL.
The icon will show red if the number of internal links referencing the current URL is below three, orange if it is below four and green if there are five or more internal articles linking to the current URL.
Duplicate anchors
The icon above indicates that four internal links directing to the current URL contain identical anchor texts.
Duplicate anchor texts should be kept to a minimum for best-practice SEO.
Stuffed links
The icon above indicates that a single article links to the current URL on three occasions.
For SEO best practices, a page should only link to an article once else. This can be seen as link stuffing.
